"We have different gifts, according to the grace given us..." (Romans 12:6 NIV).
ReplyDeleteThis scriptures reminds me that I possess unique spiritual gifts. It also reminds me that I didn't earn these gifts. I received my spiritual gifts as an inheritance, when I accepted Christ as my Savior, and His Spirit came to live in me as a believer.
This passage also encourages me to discover the gifts that God has freely given me because of His mercy and favor. Knowing my spiritual gifts helps me discern my unique role in the church.
Philippians 4:13 tells me, "I can do everything through him who gives me strength." So, I know I must continue to seek God first as I discover my gifts and my role in His Kingdom here on earth.
